India awards tenders for 412,000 tonnes green hydrogen production, 1.5 GW electrolyser manufacturing

SECI has announced bids for SIGHT II (Tranche - II) in March 2024. It remains to be seen if awarded electrolyser manufacturing under indigenously developed electrolysers will increase further. Under SIGHT I (GH2 Productions), 40,000 MT biomass-based GH2 production received only 2,000 MT in subscriptions. Can this lower subscription be attributed to risk perceptions around feedstock supply? What measures could stakeholders implement to mitigate these risks?
