EV makers pitch for comprehensive, consistent policy to enable transition

EV sales are on track to cross ~1.5 million units in FY24, driven to a large extent by consumer incentives. However, to further ensure a smooth mobility transition, a comprehensive EV policy is pivotal. In addition to EV makers asking for incentives for commercial vehicles and clear GST guidelines for EV spare parts, another step forward could be provisions promoting EV roaming.

Will the union budget for FY25 unveil such measures to further the EV transition and address the concerns of EV makers?
