Indian Navy takes leap into green transport with Indian Oil’s Hydrogen fuel cell bus

In October 2023, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) introduced hydrogen-powered buses in Delhi-NCR to evaluate their performance for public fleets. Presently, 15 such buses have covered 300,000 km across Delhi-NCR and Gujarat. The Indian Navy’s collaboration with IOCL to test green hydrogen buses highlights a strategic shift toward sustainability while promoting technological advancement in sectors such as defence. This initiative might even set a new standard for a greener and more innovative approach to defence mobility.
