Designation offered Communications Associate/Senior Communications Associate

Reporting to Communications Specialist

Location New Delhi, India

Purpose

Take the lead on a range of digital communication activities including CEEW’s social media handles, develop and execute a social media strategy, stay on top of digital media trends, support the development of new dashboards and tools on the website, and explore innovative means and multimedia to improve CEEW’s communications.

An ideal candidate should possess excellent storytelling and writing skills, in depth-knowledge of digital media, ability to liaison with third-party vendors, and a good grasp of the dynamic environment in digital communications. The candidate should be solution-oriented, detail-oriented and committed to adhering to timelines. In addition to the duties and responsibilities below, the individual should be prepared, as and when necessary, to take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities and deliverables

  • Leading the day-to-day handling of digital properties such as social media platforms and the CEEW website.
  • Developing and executing customised social media strategies for LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and any new other platform that CEEW leverages.
  • Designing creatives for social media and other communications collateral
  • Editing and producing short videos on topical climate-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media/digital trends and emerging platforms
  • Onboard and coordinate with third-party vendors (designers, printers,photographer/videographer, digital agency, influencers) to ensure that collaterals are delivered as per timelines.
  • Assist in handling digital platforms of CEEW-CEF and Powering Livelihoods project.
  • Assist in developing newsletters
  • Coordinating the editorial tasks for the website
  • Assist the development of new digital dashboards and tools
  • Provide on-ground support for CEEW events.
  • Support the Outreach team in other tasks as and when required.
  • Support CEEW’s Vision 2030 projects

Selection Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or any related field.

Personality

  • Willingness to learn new (research and project management) skills
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality written and content for different mediums.
  • Excellent grasp of the English language.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • A big appetite for spotting social media trends.
  • Demonstrated abilities to manage multiple priorities, projects and internal/external resources in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Strong drive and initiative, a self-starter.
