Anjali Ramakrishnan is a Programme Associate with the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), India. She is an economist with specialisation in environmental and resource economics. Her key areas of research are climate economics, energy access, development economics and programme evaluation. At CEEW, she works on issues of climate policy, specifically on low carbon pathways and energy access.
Prior to joining CEEW, Anjali worked with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in New Delhi as a Research Associate with the Center for Research on Energy Security. Her research focused on the coal and power sector, fossil-fuel subsidies, household energy consumption patterns and behaviour, and geopolitics of energy.
Anjali has also published in academic journals including the Journal of International Trade and Global Markets and Millenial Asia. She holds a Masters in Economics from TERI University and a Bachelors degree in Economics from Jesus and Mary College. She is fluent in English and Hindi and knows beginner-level Spanish.
