Cooling India with Less Warming: The Business Case for Phasing Down HFCs in Room and Vehicle Air Conditioners

CEEW's new paper finds that there is a business case for Indian airconditioning companies to "leapfrog" and phase down unsustainable technologies based on chemicals with high global warming potential (GWP) called hydroflurocarbons (HFCs) and move to a future based on climate-friendly refrigerants and energy-efficient equipment designs.
