Research Analyst

A development professional and an economist by training, Nikita works as a Research Analyst with the Sustainable Food Systems team, primarily focusing on charting sustainable pathways for the Indian dairy sector and delving deep into the complexities of multiple interconnected issues in the Agro-food system and allied domain.

Before joining The Council, Nikita held the position of Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Throughout her professional journey of seven years, she has worked on multiple projects with diverse stakeholders, including farmers and other food producers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), private institutes, non-governmental agencies, and central and state governments to assess various initiatives in the Agri-food system domain. In addition, she has worked as a Visiting faculty at the School of Liberal Studies (SLS), Pandit Deendayal Energy University, and H.L College (Ahmedabad University). She holds meritorious M.A. and B. A. in Economics from Maharaja Sayajirao University (Vadodara, Gujarat) and Kishinchand Chellaram College (University of Mumbai) respectively.

Apart from work, she enjoys road trips, eager to uncover the hidden gems of India's unexplored territories.
