CEEW CEO Dr Arunabha Ghosh presents at the launch of NDTV's Mission Energy

Dr Ghosh presented three mantras for energy security at the launch of NDTV and Grundfos' Mission Energy. He highlighted that access combined with efficiency and externality would lead to energy security in India. Emphasizing the potential socio-economic impact of renewable energy on rural India, Dr Ghosh shared an example of how a solar home system had revolutionised a farm labourer’s life in Dakshin Kannada district of Karnataka.

Besides Dr Ghosh, distinguished energy experts and policy makers such as Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah; Dr R K Pachauri from TERI; Ms Sunita Narain from Center for Science and Environment; Mr Kirit Parikh, Former Member, Planning Commission; Dr Prem Jain, Chairman, IGBC - CII; and Dr Koshy Cherail, President, AEEE were present at the launch of Mission Energy

Mission Energy is an initiative focusing on India's energy challenges and the increasing importance of renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation.
