CEEW moderates workshop on Karnataka's water challenges in the industrial sector

CEEW was called to moderate a workshop that kicked-off the collaboration between the Government of Karnataka, the 2030 Water Resources Group and Confederation of Indian Industries.The objectives of this workshop were to discuss the urgency of water stress, to identify useful diagnostics with concrete steps and a roadmap to ensure Karnataka’s economic growth, balanced with other stakeholder interests while simultaneously sustaining environmental sustainability. 

Questions that were addressed included: How to improve collaboration between public, civil society and private sector to ensure that water is distributed and used as efficiently as possible? How can the industrial sector and other stakeholders play a role in demanding and driving change? Is there an interest or need to support a sustained multi stakeholder dialogue?
