29 Jun 2013

In a keynote lecture delivered at the 105th Goa Chamber of commerce and Industry's Annual General Meeting, Mr Suresh Prabhu expressed his disapproval of economic development strategies that have led to adverse ecological impacts tin the state of Uttarakhand. He said that land use change leads to climate change, which in turn leads to natural calamities. In his address to commerce and industry leaders, he emphasized he need to find a balance between ecology and development as all economic development in the world necessarily pressurizes the use of natural resources.
