CEEW presents it clean energy trade proposal to WTO Ambassadors; chairs discussion

Following its research on clean energy subsidies worldwide, CEEW's Arunabha Ghosh chaired a high-level Dialogue with WTO Ambassadors and other critical stakeholders on  'Renewable Energies and Trade: Addressing tensions and challenges'. The dialogue was organised by the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) along with the Global Green Growth Institute and the Peterson Institute of International Economics. Dr Ghosh presented insights from its clean energy subsidies report and made a case for sustainable energy trade initiatives while chairing the discussion.

This discussion was intended to advance understanding on complex, pressing issues, confronting the international trade policy community in order to contribute to facilitate cooperative solutions among critical stakeholders. Participants were all high-level diplomats in the trade policy and international affairs services of their governments; foremost business experts affiliated to clean energy technology companies and well-known policy analysts.
