New report on governance of clean energy subsidies
24 Aug 2012

One day prior to its second anniversary celebrations comprising a lecture on resources and national security with India's National Security Adviser, the Council on Energy, Environment and Water released its latest report on the governance of clean energy subsidies. The report is titled "Governing Clean Energy Subsidies:What, Why, and How Legal?" and is published by International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development. The report examines the rationale for clean energy subsidies, outlines the different types of clean energy subsidies that exist and analyses policies in Brazil, China, Germany, India, Spain, and United States of America. It also examines the conflict between clean energy subsidies and World Trade Organisation subsidy rules and uses this analysis to conclude by proposing ways to promote clean energy without trade discriminants. Click Here to read the report.
